If Johnny Cash and Sheryl Crow were to have had a love
child, musically speaking at least, it would be Tera Lee. A small town
girl with big time talent, this singer/songwriter who plays as well as
she sings is about to unleash her own brand of music onto the Canadian
country music scene.
Tera Lee Flaman is a prairie girl
with roots in Saskatchewan, Manitoba and Alberta. In 1994 she moved to
the Calgary area where she began to lay the groundwork to pursue a
recording career. Today, she is a full-time artist and regularly
performs with her band across Western Canada. Tera Lee is also a gifted
instrumentalist, playing mandolin, acoustic and electric guitar.
With a strong, unique voice and outgoing personality,
Tera Lee rocks the stage. She has garnered acclaim from the venues
where she has played including the Calgary Stampede, Big Valley
Jamboree, various casinos, and numerous rodeos. She has shared the
stage with The Nitty Gritty Dirt Band, Paul Brandt, Patricia Conroy,
Beverley Mahood, and many others.
In 2003, Tera Lee recorded a three song CD that included
her to date signature song “All I Wanna Do” which hit 52 on the BDS
charts. A year later she received two Canadian Country Music Award
nominations. One for Mandolin Player of the Year, and the other for the
prestigious Chevy Trucks Rising Star Award. Needless to say, she was
very honored by these nominations and felt that the timing was right to
finish her album.
